Fractions (Practice test for the NET) Pls help?

We Answered:

the answer is 49/12
then put it to the lowest term:
4 1/12

SOLUTION:
add the whole nos. 1+2=3
3 1/3
make it an improper fraction: 3*3=9+1=10
10/3
cross multiply: 10/3 + 3/4
numerator multiplied to the denominator: 10*4=40

I need general help with fractions and division, give me practice problems?

We Answered:

I'll give you 8:

Simplify for all values where the expression is defined:

(x + 3) / (x^2 - 9)

(x^2 + 3x + 2)/(x^2 - 1)

(x^2 + 2x) / (x^2 + 7x + 10)

(x - 3)/(3 - x)

(x^3 + 6x^2 + 8x) / ( 4x + x^2)

(4x^2 + 10x) / 2x

(4x^2 + 6x + 8) ÷ 2

(4x + 8x^2 + 12x^3) ÷ 4x
