Ap Calculus Exam

Tyler Said:

What should I have memorized for the AP Calculus AB exam?

We Answered:

-Know your basic derivatives for trig functions.
-Know integrals of trig functions (even the ones like secx, cscx)
-If given a distance function, know how to go to velocity, and to acceleration functions. And if given an acceleration know how to get to distance.
d/dx [s(t)] = v(t)
d/dx[v(t)] = a(t)
- Know which are vectors and which are scalars. If you are asked to find the distance of an object, and they give you the velocity equation, taking the integral gives you the Displacement. To get distance you need to take the integral of the absolute value of the velocity.
- Study basic trig formulas, and double angle formulas.
- You are expected to know the unit circle.
- Know the requirements for rolles theorem, and mean value theorem.
- Know how to do left and right Riemann sums for a given n value.
- Know how to do volume problems. I believe every year there is a FR question about one.
- The best way to study is to practice problems, and do practice tests.

These are just a few tips. Just know your basics and work on some practice problems and you should have no problem.
